Irfan Asani General Director, Macedonian railways - Infrastructure

Mr. Irfan Asani has been Director General of PEMRI since September 2011. Mr. Asani has been active in the Balkan region as a lobbyist for political associations and groupings for a number of years. Mr. Asani, a Macedonian citizen, studied political sciences at the SEEU University and holds a Master’s degree in political sciences from the SEEU University. Since the appointment, Mr. Asani is fully dedicated to the implementation of the infrastructure and transport strategic objectives of the country, mainly to the construction and connection of the European Corridor VIII to Bulgaria and Albania and reconstruction and upgrade of the existing infrastructure.
